TJF Contributions

The Therapeutic Justice Foundation is a 501(C)(3) organization founded in 2010 by Judge Al Alonso.

Our Mission:

To support Bexar County Specialty Courts by funding treatment, education, training, public awareness, and other services.

Key Contributions:

Financial Support: Over $80,000 provided for the success of Specialty Court participants.

Drug Testing and Monitoring: Over $20,000 in support for indigent participants.

Food Pantry: Fed over 50 households with more than 165 members; filled over 105 food orders and holiday baskets; includes over 600 gift cards.

CleanTrac Pilot Study: Invested $3,000 to enhance compliance among participants.

Pro-Social Activities: Sponsored commencements, kickball games, and movie nights for participants and their families.

Bus Passes: Provided over $25,000 worth of bus passes.

Treatment Efforts: Invested over $37,000 in treatment.

Curriculum Manuals: Provided over $500 worth.

Sober Living Housing: Over $32,000 provided, including 1,450 days of assistance to 44 participants.

Scholarships: Two annual $1,000 scholarships in memory of Sergio Correa, Jr.

Educational Workshops: Over $7,000 in stipends provided.

Training Efforts: Over $84,500 invested, including:

- $14,500 to train/certify practitioners. - Approximately $50,000 for training conferences in 2015, 2018, and 2019. - $20,000 for NADCP Annual Training Conferences. - Conferences featured nationally acclaimed experts and served over 600 attendees.

Public Awareness: Invested over $30,000, including press conferences and sponsorships.

Specialty Court Commencement Ceremonies: Premier sponsor, honoring over 600 graduates.

Therapeutic Court Mentors: Sole sponsor of mentors advocating sober living and recovery.
